The Center for Economic and Environmental Partnership, Inc. ‘s Chairman, Ira Rubenstein announced today that Robert Licopoli has been appointed CEEP’s Executive Director. Robert brings over 15 years of management experience to CEEP.
 
“This is an exciting opportunity”, explained Robert. “I volunteered in some of CEEP’s programs many years ago and once I found out the Executive Director position was available, I jumped at the opportunity”. Robert plans to market CEEP’s current programs, implement several new programs by the end of 2010 and continue CEEP’s growth by executing CEEP’s mission statement.

Mr. Rubenstein, who conceived of CEEP and has chaired its Board for most of CEEP’s existence, stated: “Robert is a fantastic leader who engages people with his energy and enthusiasm. He understands well the synergies that underlie CEEP’s mission: the economy and the environment are inextricably interwoven and this can be a positive factor for the development of sustainable businesses of all types.”

CEEP is a 501(c)(3) not for profit New York corporation. CEEP Inc. funds and sponsors programs promoting development of an effective and competitive environmental industry. CEEP also advances development of sound environmental business policies and programs in New York and elsewhere. In furtherance of these charitable purposes, CEEP:
  • Encourages investigation, evaluation, development and implementation of policies and programs supportive of the environmental industry and enhanced environmental quality;
  • Sponsors programs, prepares reports and provides opportunities for collaborative efforts among industry, government, trade organizations and associations, institutions of higher learning and/or research, interested firms and individuals and the public in support of such policies and programs; and
  •  Facilitates and participates in programs sponsored by governmental agencies and others that bear on its corporate purposes and objectives.
Robert splits his time between New York and Minnesota, where he is continuing his education and is currently a senior at the University of Minnesota, in its Business Management program.
